Outbackhill Kennels is located in Otterville, Ontario, Canada. It is a family run kennel that breeds Australian Shepherds and English Coonhounds. We have been an established breeder of working performance American Kennel Club, United Kennel Club and Professional Kennel Club registered English Coonhounds for the over 30 years. More recently we have begun a small breeding program for the versatile Australian Shepherd breed. We breed American style Aussies registered with the American Kennel Club, Canadian Kennel Club, Australian Shepherd Club of America registered Aussies.
Our resident English Coonhound sire, CHNTCH 'PR' Bear Creek Grizzly, has produced several Grand Nite Champion, Nite Champions, Field Trial Champions, Water Race Champions, Grand Show Champions and Show Champions. After years of owning several dogs sired by this male, and knowing his amazing bloodlines, we had the opportunity to purchase him from Mr. Tom Mawson, who has owned him most of his life. Grizzly is getting up in years, and we expect him to only produce a few more litters before he's done. We have several of his offspring on site, which we will show any night on request. Grizzly is also available for stud to approved bitches.
Our Australian Shepherd male, Hug-Me's Silver Colt 45, was imported from Nevada as a 1 1/2 year old. He is a standard size blue merle Aussie, from bloodlines unknown to Canadian dogs. Pistol was lightly shown as a puppy with the Australian Shepherd Club of America and has also been shown with the Canadian Kennel Club. Pistol is also available for stud to approved bitches.
